Content Use Questions

Can I download TMC content for my other safety staff to use? No. Training Management Center content is for use solely by the individual user identified in the Registration Information.

How much needs to be changed in order for my work to be a “Created Work"? There is not a bright line to determine this. For example, we feel that simply adding your company logo to every page is not sufficient. The intent of the service is for you to have a place to start for a program that is customized to your operations.


Can I use a Created Work to make an E-learning course for my company? Yes.


Can I use my Created Work even if I drop my TMC subscription? Yes.


Can I use a clip from a TMC video? You may play the clip only from the original video file. You may not make a separate clip as it would be unauthorized copying.


General Questions

Learners

Can I remove a learner and their records? Yes, learners can be deleted even if they have training records. You also can “Inactivate” the learner if you do not wish to completely remove them from your account. If you choose to delete a learner from your account you will still be able to see their records through the reporting tool. CAUTION: Once a learner is deleted you cannot undo it. How do I upload/import learners? For detailed information on importing learners, visit Import/Export Learners in TMC.

 

How and where do my learners take a course? Learners will take their courses in the Learning Center: www.jjktrainingportal.com. You can provide their username and temporary password by navigating to their Learner Profile in TMC. See these Learning Center support materials for student guidance on taking courses.

 

How do I customize my Learning Center Portal? You can customize your Learning Center Portal by clicking the dropdown in the upper right corner of TMC, next to your initials. From the drop-down menu click “Customize Learning Center” and fill out the form with the information you wish to display to your learners and click save.

How do I group learners together? From the dashboard and under the “Learners” tab, click “Groups”. Then, click the +New Group button. For more information, visit Learner Groups in TMC.

 

Where do I see the learner questions sent to me? There are 2 ways to see your learner questions:

  1. In the upper right corner of TMC is a bell icon. Click the bell and you’ll see the most recent site updates and learner questions. Click the Learner Questions button to go to the Questions page.
  2. In the Learners tab in the top navigation bar, click Questions.

Enrollments & Courses

I bought standard enrollments; how do I enroll a learner to take a course from the Training Management Center site? In the upper right corner of the screen, you’ll see a shopping cart icon. Click that to open the enrollment shopping cart. Choose your learners by clicking “Add Learners”. Select the learners you wish to enroll and click “Save”. Next, click “Add Courses”. You can search and use filters to find the course you want. Once you have your course(s) selected click “Save”. Then, in the course card(s) fill out the required information and other information as desired. See Enrolling in TMC for more detailed information.

 

How do I set up a pass/fail grade for the learners? One of the (optional) steps of enrolling learners includes setting a minimum passing score for the course. You can set a minimum passing score, or not. See Enrolling for more information. 

 

How many times can a learner take a course? Most courses will allow a student to attempt the final exam as many times as they'd like within the enrollment period. Some courses have a three-attempt limit. The course will notify the student if this limit exists. In all cases, the system will automatically keep the best score out of any final exam attempts.

 

My learner used up all their attempts for the final exam but did not achieve the passing score; however, I am unable to re-enroll them. If your learner did not achieve the minimum score and has used up all their attempts in the final exam, and the class did not expire, you will need to contact the technical support team to expire the class so you can re-enroll the student. You will not be able to enroll a student if a current class is not expired.

 

How do I print a certificate for a learner?

There are 2 ways to download and print completion certificates.

  1. Go to “Manage Learners” and click the name of the learner you wish to print a certificate for. Then, select the Course, Curriculums, or Classrooms tab and check the box next to the item you wish to print a certificate for. Click the “Certificates” button.
  2. Go to the product/information page for the desired course/curriculum/classroom. Select the Completed Enrollments option from the drop down. Check the box next to the learner you wish to print a certificate for and click the "Certificates" button.

Once the course is expired, how do I get my points back? Once a class has expired, you are unable to get your points back. If you find a student has not started a class, and the class is due to expire, you may un-enroll the student and retrieve your points back.

 

How can I purchase more enrollments? Can I subscribe to Online Training? To purchase enrollments, click the shopping cart in the upper right corner in TMC. Then, in the Cart Summary area of the page, click the "+" next to the type of enrollment you wish to purchase more of. Click “Checkout” and follow the steps to complete your purchase.

System Management

How do I delete a location? From the top navigation menu and under the “Learners” tab, click “Locations”. Check the box next to the location you wish to delete and then click “Delete” above the table. This will trigger a prompt for you to confirm the deletion of the location. By clicking “Confirm” the location will be deleted. If the location is associated with any learners, those learners will then be set to the system's default location.

The slide in the course won't go to "next"/progress forward for my learner. Is there an activity? Activities need to be completed and instructions will need to be followed before a student can continue. Please read any instructions that show on your screen. You may need to click on all images/buttons/call-outs before the Next button displays in the bottom right of the screen.

 

I am unable to log into Training Management Center; the username and password to not work. At any time, you can retrieve your login information by clicking the "Forgot your Password" link (located under the Password textbox) on the Training Management Center login page: https://app.jjkellertraining.com. You will be prompted to enter the email address on your account. Clicking "Send Verification Code" prompts the system to immediately email you a password reset pin. In the email you receive you will see text with a link below “Click here to enter PIN and complete password reset”. Click the link to complete your password reset. *Login credentials are case-sensitive. Ensure you are entering your password correctly.

 

My learner's password for the Learning Center/training portal does not work. Please go to https://www.jjktrainingportal.com and instruct the learner to use the username (and initial password if the learner has not yet reset their password) you provided to them.

  • Ensure there are no spaces before or after the typed information
  • Sign-in information is case-sensitive. Ensure you are entering the correct username/password.
