Checking Camera Health
This article explains how to check the status and overall health of Cameras in the VideoProtects® system. By navigating to Vehicles > Device Pairings, users can review the Connection Status to confirm if a Camera is online, offline, or experiencing power/network issues, and the Last Processed Event to verify when the last video was retrieved. If a Camera appears offline despite being powered and showing a green light, users are advised to contact VideoProtects Support.
To determine the status/"health" of your camera/s, first go to Vehicles > Device Pairings.

Locate the Connection Status and Last Processed Event columns.
- Connection Status: Indicates if there is/isn't any power going to the camera
- Online: Vehicle is powered on, camera has power to it, and has a network connection
- Offline: Vehicle may be powered off; camera may not be plugged in; network issues may be preventing the camera from connecting to the server.
- Date/time: Indicates when the camera came Online or went Offline.
- Last Processed Event: Indicates the last time a video was processed or pulled from the camera memory card
Note: If the vehicle is on or the camera light is green, but the status is displaying "Offline" in VideoProtects, please email support at supportvideoprotects@jjkeller.com.
