Driver Forgot to Log Out

This guide outlines corrective steps if a Driver forgets to log out of the Encompass® ELD application. When the Driver regains access to the device, they should follow the Logging Out and Certifying Logs process, then edit their log to add an Off Duty status from the time they missed logging out until 11:59:59 P.M. that day. For the current day and any other impacted days starting at 12:00:00 A.M., statuses should also be changed to Off Duty. Did a driver forget to log out of the ELD application? The following steps are suggested if a logout does not occur:

When the driver is with the device again, follow Logging Out and Certifying Logs
The driver will edit the log and add an Off Duty status from the time they forgot to log out until 11:59:59 P.M. of the non-logout day.

Additionally, they will change statuses that are 12:00:00 A.M. on the current day and any other affected days to Off Duty.
