Adding Log Events in Encompass® ELD for Android™

This article explains how Drivers can add log events in compliance with the ELD Mandate using the Encompass® ELD app. From the Dashboard, Drivers access the View Log icon, select Edit Log, and choose the correct date if needed. They can add a new event by entering required details such as duty status, start/end time, location, annotation, and any applicable vehicle or shipment information. Once saved, the event appears in the log and is shown in green on the grid log screen to indicate it was edited. This process ensures accurate and compliant recordkeeping of duty status changes.

To begin, tap on the View Log icon from the Encompass ELD Dashboard. (Or select the Edit Log icon for new customers).

The Edit Log button will be displayed on the View Grid tab.

Once Edit Log is selected, the driver will then see the Edit Log screen which will show them their Log Events for that day.

  • If a different day needs to have changes made to it, you can tap the arrows or tap the Log Date to change the date.
  • Next to each duty status change, there is an Edit button.
  • At the top of the Events, you can Add Event.

TIP: If you can't see the events and are holding your device horizontally, please scroll below the grid, or, rotate the device to hold it vertically.
