Encompass Release (11/06/2024)

For customers that use Samba, they are required by Samba to update their credentials occasionally and need

a method to do so.  If the customer resets their credentials in Encompass, then Encompass will reset their credentials

in Samba automatically.   The challenge occurs when the user updates their credentials directly in Samba first and not

Encompass.  The link between the applications is broken and there isn't a way within the Encompass application to

recover.  The application needs to be modified to enable the user to recover.

As part of continuous improvement, multiple areas have been identified and corrected so that a 500 error isn’t

generated as it is meaningless to users in helping them continue to work.  We will continue to identify errors and

both correct and provide clear messaging when appropriate.

User imports fuel purchases and has some transactions come through as 0 gallons (there is no way to manually

enter fuel with an invalid fuel amount).  Previous to this release, 0 gallon fuel entries that come via import show as

nullGR when viewing the trip and do not show when editing the trip.  Change made to allow the user to see both the

view and edit pages show 0 GR.

Performance issue on the unassigned events paid that seemed to be more prevalent in a single customer.  Multiple

changes made to better handle the loading and page transitions to properly handle all and not display 500 errors

during normal use.

A few scenarios existed that allowed employees to get into a non-standard terminated state, which caused them to

be displayed in the rosters.  The non-standard state is the TERMINATED status is in all caps, which the system

doesn’t recognize the same.  Changes have been made to prevent getting into this state, but customer data will need

to be cleaned up in the system in order to completely fix the problem.

When a user without online training enabled went to Employees > Training > select employee > hover over checklist > Enroll,

they were allowed to enroll a driver in a course although online training is not enabled.  The user is now prevented from

enrolling students in courses and receives a prompt to enable training.

Made a change to how HOS attachments are handled internally to prevent an error from being created.  The issue

may not have been exposed to users but improved the system.
