Encompass Video: User Permissions

This article outlines the differences between the 2 Encompass Video User Permissions—Video and Video Admin—which govern access and editing capabilities on the Encompass Video pages. The Video role allows users to view and manage video-related content such as Events, Dashboards, and Device Associations, and perform actions like marking Events, editing Driver details, and Flagging videos. The Video Admin role includes all Video Permissions plus additional capabilities such as deleting videos and accessing the Event Configurations page. These roles are essential for managing video workflows and ensuring appropriate access levels.

Video Video Admin
  • Allows access to the following pages:
    • Video Events
    • Video Event Details
    • Video Recall
    • Video Dashboard
    • Device Associations
    • Installers
    • Notifications
    • Subscribers
  • Allows performing any edits to a video:
    • Multi-select for bulk action
    • Marking event as Completed/Dismissed
    • Can edit the Driver
    • Can send the Event to Driver for review
    • Can set the Action Taken value
    • Can enter Comments
    • Can flag a Video Event
  • Can update Video Event Workflow status (i.e. Viewing a video will mark the video as In Progress).
  • Can view, request and promote Recalled Videos.
  • Allows access to download videos.
  • All Permissions included in Video role.
  • Allows access to delete videos (single or bulk).
  • Allows view/edit access to Event Configurations page.
