Dash Cam & ELD Installation with Black 9-Pin

If you are installing an ELD and a Dash Cam 220 in a truck that has a black 9-PIN plug/adapter, please do the following:
 

1)  Connect the ELD first using the ELD black harness (sold separately)
2)  Connect the Dash Cam using the green harness (only option) to the black pigtail on the black ELD harness

3) Make sure to connect the camera's Power Cable (the one with the small box in the cable, see image) between the camera and the green camera harness.

(In this setup, you will not need the green 9-Pin Y-Splitter.)

*Due to the size of the key pin, it is physically impossible to plug a black harness into a green plug; however, there should be no problem plugging the green into a black plug, as the camera is only looking for power. 

Alternatively, you could still consider a hardwire connection, should that be a better option for your camera power.
