Viewing Hours/Clocks

This article explains how Drivers can monitor their available Driving and On Duty hours in the Encompass® ELD app using 2 views: View Hours and View Clocks. View Hours displays available weekly, daily On Duty, and daily Driving hours, along with the time remaining before a required daily break. View Clocks provides a visual countdown of driving, daily On Duty, and weekly On Duty limits, showing both used and remaining time. Instructions are provided for both Android™ and iOS devices, ensuring Drivers can track compliance and manage schedules effectively.

 

View Hours

From the Encompass® ELD application dashboard, select View Log.

Click on View Hours (or Hours if on iPhone/iPad). This tab allows drivers to see their:

  1. Available Weekly hours
  2. Daily On Duty hours
  3. Daily Drive hours
  4. The hours available before they have to take their daily Break
ANDROID IPHONE/IPAD

Tap the View Hours tab.

Tap the Hours tab near the bottom of the screen.

View Clocks

Drivers can view their hours using the View Clocks tab. Select the View Log icon on your home screen to view the daily log.

Locate View Clocks (see specific instructions in the table below depending on your device.)

  1. The blue portion of the Driving Hours Available clock on the top represents drive time used and can be seen numerically above the clock.
    • The time in parentheses (__) indicates the time used before taking the required 8-hour rest break.
    • The timer outside of the parentheses will only count down when driving is being recorded on the log. 
    • The timer inside of the parentheses will immediately start counting down as soon as the driver begins their day, regardless of whether or not they are driving.
  2. The Daily On Duty Hours Available can be seen in the middle clock with the total on-duty time allocated shown above the clock.
  3. The Weekly On Duty Hours Available can be seen in the clock on the bottom with total hours used shown above the clock.

Tab the View Clocks tab.

Tap More near the bottom of your screen, and then select View Clocks.
