1. Search for the IMEI. Then under Device Name, click on the bolded name.
3. Click Group on the left side of the screen 4. Find the Group Name that contains Cell Provider, Co-Pilot and Tablet Type for where your tablet needs to go. Once you find the group needed click on that group.
5. Click the Device tab
6. Click Add
7. Search for your IMEI
8. Verify that this is the correct IMEI. Put a checkmark in the box then click Add.
9. Make sure Yes is selected then click OK
10. You will now be brought to the Group Details screen and you can see that the device is in the Co-Pilot group you selected.
11. Click Group in the top left and you will be brought back to the main groups
12. Open the group that you device is still in from Step 2. Search for the device. Put a checkmark in the box and select Remove devices from group 13. Make sure Yes is selected then click OK
14. On the tablet it will say installing kiosk and that takes 10-15 seconds. This is getting the device ready for Trimble Co-Pilot.
15. Have the driver log into Encompass ELD.
16. Confirm user is on WiFi
17. Confirm that the tablet has Location services turned ON with High Accuracy
18. In Encompass ELD, Go to Menu > Trimble Co-Pilot. a.Accept the License Agreement, leave box that requests to "share data anonymously" unchecked b.Choose standard settings and inform customer that Trimble suggests they customize settings (height, weight, or hazmat restrictions, etc.) before use and that it can be done after the maps download. c.Download maps (it is better for customer to err on side of caution and download MORE than they need, rather than less) d.Device must remain connected to Wi-Fi until entire map is downloaded. Make sure it stays charged and in range of Wi-Fi.
19. Inform customer that future Encompass ELD and map releases will require Wi-Fi to update.
20. If Verizon tablet, change tablet(s) device group to Trimble Devices in Verizon ThingSpace
21. If AT&T tablet, change device(s) to 500 MB plan in AT&T portal
