Update on Billing for Unpaired Encompass Devices
Starting in November 2025, we introduced updates to make billing more transparent for devices that are not paired to a vehicle or asset. These include VT100 units, Dash Cameras, and Geotab Trackers. Previously, these devices were billed under general service tiers. Going forward, unpaired devices will appear as separate line items on your invoice for clarity.
What Happened Recently?
- In November and early December, a system bug prevented correct billing for some unpaired devices (VT100 and Dash Cameras).
- To fix this, you may see additional invoices for devices shipped before December 11.
- These invoices will include clear line items such as:
- Essential Video – Unpaired (Dash Cameras)
- Unpaired Vehicle Tracker (VT100/Geotab)
What to expect going forward
Starting early January, your invoices will clearly show unpaired devices as separate charges:
- Unpaired Asset Tracker – $9.95
- Unpaired Vehicle Tracker – $15.35
- Essential Video – Unpaired – $22
Why this matters
This change is part of our commitment to billing transparency. It ensures you can easily see which devices are paired and which are not.
Do you need to do anything?
No action is required on your part. If you receive an additional invoice for November or early December, it’s simply to correct previous billing. Future invoices will clearly separate these charges.
