FAQ - I entered a Repair Order (RO) for a Preventive Maintenance (PM)..?

Question

I entered a Repair Order (RO) for a Preventive Maintenance (PM), but my PM still shows as overdue. Why?

Answer:

When entering a Repair Order (RO), be sure to enter the current odometer reading as well as the date completed. If this was done, it's possible that the odometer reading on the RO is still validly triggering the PM as due.

Example: If the PM is due every 3000 miles, the RO could have been completed when the odometer reading was 125,000, but the current odometer is 129,000. Even though the RO was just entered, the PM is due again on that unit.
