Encompass Video Recalled Videos

Because the video camera continuously records video while the vehicle ignition is on, the Recalled Videos function provides the ability to recall video at any specific time that the camera was recording. This is useful when an admin desires to review video footage when an actual video event has not been triggered by the system.

To access recalled videos, go to Video > Video Recall.

The videos you have recalled will populate in the recalled videos screen, given that there were recalled videos in the specified timeframe. You can filter to select specific vehicles, and view different start/end dates. You can also view the videos in a list or grid format.

REQUEST/RECALL A VIDEO

In order to recall a video, use the Request a Video box to identify the vehicle, the event date, the event time, and desired time and duration of the video event.

  • The Time entered should be the same time/timezone in which the event occurred.
  • A combined total of 1 minute of video from the entered time is available for recall. Select the number of seconds of footage you would like to see before the selected time, and the number of seconds of footage after the selected time, combining for a total of up to 1 minute.
    • Note: You may want to submit 2-3 requests for different timeframes to ensure you are able to find the portion of the video you need.

Once all information has been entered, click the “Request Video” button.

A message will appear saying “Video Recall has been requested”. When the recalled video request has been processed, it will populate in the Recalled Videos page.

*Access rates may apply per video request

!  If the vehicle is currently powered on and the camera is online (ie. the vehicle is powered on), the video recall should process within about 15-20 min. If the vehicle is off and/or the camera is offline, the video will process when the camera is back online; however, the video recall request will timeout if the camera does not come online after 24 hours from the time of the request.

To check the current status of the camera, go to Video > Configuration > Device Associations and locate the Connection Status column.

The Promote button will “promote” a recalled video into the same workflow of a generated event where it can be analyzed, scored, etc. The Download button allows the user to download the video to their device. The Delete Video Recall button removes the video from the recalled videos list.

When on the Event Details page, you can play the video events, see the status, view comments, the court reporter, etc.
